SURVIVING EXTERNAL CORPUS

South California Burmese Chinese Archive

The Southern California Burmese Chinese community website preserves a seven-page author archive aggregating Ye Guozhi’s essays, poetry, commentary, and collaborative literary activity. It is evidence of his later publishing life and literary network—not the canonical text layer. Because works may have appeared on multiple websites or in print, every entry must be reconciled before it is counted as a distinct work.

Documented Representative Entries

These examples demonstrate the range of works and community activity preserved by the external author archive. Chinese titles and dates remain as recorded by the source.

WHY THIS SOURCE MATTERS

It Preserves a Literary Network, Not Only Individual Works

The archive places Ye Guozhi’s later writing within a living Burmese Chinese community of classmates, editors, poets, critics, and collaborators. Confirmed new works enter the external discovery layer; matches to the family collection move into publication provenance; deduplicated relationships remain in the bibliography.

ARCHIVAL CLOSURE RULE

Preserve the surviving source.
Do not pretend every entry has been exhausted.

The immediate goal is to preserve the surviving author archive, verifiable works, and bibliographic relationships inside YeGuozhi.org’s evidence system. New permanent links or print records can be added later without altering the canonical text.
